What is the New Testament? How did the New Testament come to be and how should we read it? The Word of God came to reveal God and to reveal God's love for sinners. His Word is the definitive account of the life of Christ on earth. The New Testament is the witness to Jesus Christ who comes for sinners. ?In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.? (John 1:1) The God that the New Testament reveals is for us. The whole Bible is about the God it announces from the very beginning and from the very beginning this is a God who is giving. The New Testament shows God is for us in the life, death, resurrection and ascended life of Jesus Christ. The New Testament is Jesus Christ.
