Overview of the Gospels: What is God Like? (NT Survey Lesson 23)

Dr. Jono Linebaugh

This lecture is the second part of an Overview of the Gospels. What is God like? Why does the answer to this question help? Consider that Voltaire was a French Enlightenment writer whose Poem On The Lisbon Disaster or An Examination of That Axiom 'All is Well' contrasts with The Brothers Karamazovby Fyodor Dostoyevsky. In what sense is Jesus the answer? The name Jesus contains a story of a real human life. Jesus experienced being forsaken by God'so that we never would. What happens in John 20 is our basis for hope. The Resurrection in John 20 also echoes Genesis.
