Fueling Learning: Sparking Curiosity in the 21st-Century Classroom

Kevin is the executive director of Clerestory Learning, an organization that equips teachers through programs and services that offer effective instructional solutions based on educational implications from diverse scientific research fields, including neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and brain development. He has degrees in elementary education, English, and educational leadership. Through Kevin's ACSI NEXUS 2015 presentation, you will learn the role curiosity plays in deep and meaningful learning. You will also learn the relationship of questioning to curiosity and implement strategies for engaging and refining student questioning, and be able to list, describe and implement teaching strategies for fostering and sustaining student curiosity.
