Welcome to Framing the World, the second course in the Foundational Bible Knowledge series. This course offers a practical framework for interpreting Scripture accurately and assessing worldviews through a biblical perspective.

This course is 2 of 3 in the Foundational Bible Knowledge series. Here are the building blocks of your learning journey:

  1. Laying the Foundation – Examining and defending the truth of Scripture
  2. Framing the World – Building a biblical worldview rooted in Scripture
  3. Constructing Practices – Shaping education through the lens of Scripture

It is highly recommended to complete the courses in order, as each course builds the framework for the following course.

This course series was prayerfully developed from ACSI's global mission to ensure every educator worldwide is firmly rooted in biblical truth. The goal is to strengthen educators with a solid foundation in Scripture to teach with wisdom, purpose, and a steadfast biblical worldview.

The course features curated videos from Stand to Reason and Bible Project, recognized leaders in apologetics and biblical study.

Formative Assessments

A variety of low-stakes activities and assessments will help you engage with and apply the course content. Discussion forums allow you to collaborate and share ideas with colleagues worldwide.

Summative Assessments

A pre-assessment and post-assessment will measure your foundational Bible knowledge at the start and end of this course. A score of 70% is required to pass the post-assessment and earn CEUs.

Final Project (Artifact)

Your final project, or artifact, will showcase your application of course content and can serve as a classroom resource. See more details about this course’s artifact here.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Examine Bible translations, the impact of worldview, and the Holy Spirit’s role in understanding Scripture.
  • Identify biblical genres, apply interpretation principles, and evaluate major worldviews.
  • Defend the Christian faith with reason and evidence.

This course addresses the following Global Core Standard:

  • Criterion 2.2: The candidate knows how to study God’s Word.

ACSI micro-credentials will launch in Spring 2025, with the Foundational Bible Knowledge micro-credential coming soon. Educators who complete the course series, assignments, and follow-up activities will be eligible, with administrator approval of course artifacts.

This course is asynchronous, meaning you can complete it at your own pace. However, dedicating 1–2 hours per week will help you stay on track. Here is a recommended schedule to guide you toward successful completion:

  • Week 1: Getting Started + Module 1, Sessions 1–2
  • Week 2: Module 1, Sessions 3–5
  • Week 3: Module 2
  • Week 4: Module 3
  • Week 5: Artifact
