Session 4: How to Read Biblical Prose Discourse
Biblical prose discourse is designed to engage the mind—inviting us to think logically, reason clearly, and respond thoughtfully to God's truth. Whether it’s the detailed instructions of biblical law or the thoughtful arguments of New Testament letters, this genre helps shape a consistent and faithful understanding of God’s will.
In this session, you'll explore three lessons: Biblical Law, New Testament Letters, and Application. The first two lessons will help you navigate the structure and purpose of these important writings, while the final lesson will bring it all together by showing how understanding genre deepens our insight into the significance of a key biblical event—Jesus’ baptism—and its connection to the unified story of Scripture.
