The Bible is a rich and diverse collection of writings, presented in a variety of literary genres—including narrative, poetry, prophecy, law, wisdom literature, and letters. While almost half of the Bible is written as narrative, other parts express truth through metaphor, imagery, direct instruction, and even songs.
